About Me
The most fresh tuna tartare you'll ever have
I was born and raised on the sun-soaked island of Sicily, where the scent of the sea blends with the rich aromas of olive oil, fresh herbs, and citrus. Growing up, the kitchen was always the heart of our home. From a young age, I found myself surrounded by the love of cooking — whether it was helping my nonna prepare Sunday dinners or learning the secrets of traditional Sicilian recipes passed down through generations. That connection to food, family, and culture stayed with me as I got older.
At 18, I left my beloved island to pursue a new chapter of life abroad. I had dreams of expanding my horizons, and the journey took me to many different places around the world. I lived in cities full of diversity and cultural richness, each one shaping my perspective in its own unique way. But no matter where I went, I always carried with me the flavors and values of my Sicilian roots.
My passion for food grew even stronger as I traveled. I immersed myself in different culinary traditions, discovering new ingredients, and honing my skills in kitchens around the world. This eventually led me to work as a private chef, where I could bring my love for food to others in a more personal way. It was a joy to craft dishes that not only satisfied the senses but also told stories — stories of tradition, of love, and of the places that have shaped me.
Today, I find myself living between two places that are close to my heart: Seattle and Sicily. I'm working in the kitchen, exploring new culinary landscapes, or simply enjoying a meal with friends and family, I'm always searching for new ways to connect people to food — and to my beloved island.
Food is more than just a passion for me; it's a way to share my culture, and the beauty of Sicily through its flavors. There's nothing more fulfilling than making someone fall in love with the flavors and traditions of my beautiful island, whether through a meal, a class, or an unforgettable shared moment around the table.
